Now in DigitalHub: The 2019 Science in Society Images

PDF

We are excited to announce that the 2019 Science in Society images are now viewable in DigitalHub. These visually stunning images captivate the imagination and deepen the connection between science and art. Each image in the collection originates from contemporary research at Northwestern in a wide range of fields, including medicine, genetics, chemistry, and engineering.

The winning images were chosen by an interdisciplinary panel of artists, scientists, and community leaders; professionally printed; and placed on exhibition to the public at the Evanston Township High School (ETHS) along with ETHS student artwork. Each year the ETHS Fine Arts Department and Physics classes are invited to create their own artwork or physics images based on the 12 Northwestern University Science in Society image finalists. Read more about the 2019 image contest from Northwestern’s Office for Research.

The contest has been hosted since 2010 by Science in Society, Northwestern’s research center dedicated to science education and public engagement. Images since 2015 are viewable in DigitalHub. DigitalHub is Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine’s institutional repository dedicated to increasing the discovery and dissemination of Northwestern’s scholarly work and research data to academic, clinical, and public audiences around the world.
