Jonna Peterson, Senior Clinical Informationist at Galter Health Sciences Library, has been invited to co-facilitate the prestigious McMaster Evidence Based Clinical Practice Workshops series, held at McMaster University in June 2017. McMaster, considered the birthplace of evidence-based health care, hosts the EBCP workshop series annually, catering to clinicians who wish to improve their clinical practice through enhanced skills in reading, interpreting, and applying the medical literature.

The workshop uses small-group formats for participants to advance and practice their skills in using the medical literature and, for the teaching stream, to advance and practice their skills in teaching evidence-based practice to others. The major role of the librarian in each group is to facilitate information access and to teach information retrieval techniques. This is the fourth year Jonna has taken part, and it’s an honor for her to be invited to return.
