Bart Davis: As head of our Collection Management and Metadata Services department, Bart Davis guides Galter’s collection management and implements advancements to resource discoverability and access. He plays an essential role in advancing interdisciplinary collaborations and digital projects, ensuring our resources are fully equipped to meet the evolving research, clinical, and educational needs of the Feinberg community. Bart’s meticulous work supports the library in aligning with nationally and internationally established best practices, significantly contributing to the quality of the resources Galter provides.
Rebecca Flores: Rebecca Flores is an integral member of our Administration department, managing the ins and outs of tasks that are essential to Galter’s daily operations and that drive our strategic goals forward. Her efforts to establish and enhance staff workflows are invaluable to our team’s success. Rebecca is a key contributor in sustaining the library’s professional network within the university and the broader research community, with a commitment to integrity in every collaboration.

Karen Gutzman: As head of our Research Assessment and Communications department, Karen Gutzman leads initiatives to increase the awareness of scholarly outputs, offering specialized support in tracking publications, assessing research impact across disciplines, and communicating findings to diverse audiences. With oversight of Northwestern Elements and Prism—Feinberg’s institutional repository—she directs Galter’s Metrics and Impact Core expanding Feinberg’s academic reach and the visibility of its scholarly accomplishments. Karen’s unique understanding of the research lifecycle and dedication to innovative solutions allow Galter to provide a broad range of services with exceptional quality.
Kristi Holmes: As the Director of Galter Health Sciences Library and Associate Dean for Knowledge Management and Strategy at Feinberg, Kristi Holmes is a driving force in positioning the library as a hub for knowledge creation, impact, and sharing. Over the past decade, she has strengthened the library’s partnerships and cultivated interdisciplinary collaborations to advance information standards and expand the library’s support for clinical care and research. Recently named Director of Informatics and Data Science at NUCATS, she fosters an environment that allows Galter to further align with its vision of becoming a global leader in biomedical information access, use, and innovation.

Rodney Jackson: Rodney Jackson started at Northwestern Libraries in the 1980s with our partners in Evanston and moved over to Galter in 1999 as an integral member of our Access Services department. He oversees our reserves, keeping our resources up to date for Feinberg faculty and students, and connecting our patrons with the services they need. Over the years Rodney has seen the library through significant changes and innovations, fostering important relationships with students, faculty, and staff that allow him to support the diverse needs of our community.
