Mohammad Hosseini, PhD
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the department of Preventive Medicine (Health and Biomedical Informatics). Currently I collaborate with the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS) and am currently based at Galter Health Sciences Library & Learning Center in Chicago. I hold a BA in Business Management (2013, Eindhoven), MA in Applied Ethics (2016, Utrecht) and PhD in Research Ethics and Integrity (2021, Dublin).
During my PhD, I was involved in creating, collecting and curating resources for the Embassy of Good Science platform — a disciplinary repository for research ethics and integrity resources. My PhD thesis explored the ethics of contributor role ontologies and taxonomies and discussed the attribution of credit and responsibilities in scholarly collaborations.
My current research is focused on the ethics of employing artificial intelligence in research, attribution of credit and responsibilities in research collaborations, citation ethics and gender disparities in academia. My professional goal is to cultivate fair and inclusive working cultures and improve ethics and integrity in academia.
