Based at Galter Health Sciences Library in Chicago campus, I collaborate with the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS) and the Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine (I.AIM). Furthermore, I am a guest lecturer of research ethics, an associate editor of the journal of Accountability in Research and a member of the Global Young Academy.  Motivated by the interdisciplinary nature and broad application of research ethics, I have been exploring issues that affect all scholarly fields, such as recognizing contributions in academic publications, citations and publication ethics and gender issues in academia. I am fascinated by the ethics of employing technologies such as artificial intelligence and generative AI in research and have dedicated significant time to understanding their implications on data integrity, transparency, and societal impact. I advocate for responsible AI practices, emphasizing the importance of fairness, accountability, and transparency.

I hold a BA in Business Management (2013, Eindhoven, The Netherlands), MA in Applied Ethics (2016, Utrecht, The Netherlands) and PhD in Research Ethics and Integrity (2021, Dublin, Ireland). During my PhD, I was involved in creating, collecting and curating resources for the Embassy of Good Science platform — a disciplinary repository for research ethics and integrity resources. My PhD thesis explored the ethics of contributor role ontologies and taxonomies and discussed the attribution of credit and responsibilities in scholarly collaborations.

My professional goal is to cultivate fair and inclusive working cultures and improve ethics and integrity in academia.
