Library Classes: Web of Science Overview

This class is an introduction to using Web of Science to search for scholarly work, authors, and research metrics. This database has multidisciplinary coverage of over 10,000 journals in the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities, as well as published proceedings for over 12,000 conferences per year, and over 50,000 scholarly books.

In this class, we will:

•Familiarize ourselves with Web of Science’s content and coverage
•Learn how to put together an effective search strategy
•Leverage Web of Science features to search for documents and authors
•Gain an awareness of the metrics drawn from Web of Science data
