This class describes the use of the NIH's SciENcv tool to create NIH biographical sketches and funding support documents. We discuss the federal mandate to use SciENcv for NIH biosketches, then demonstrate the SciENcv tool within the NIH's NCBI account platform.
This class is geared toward investigators preparing biosketches for NIH grant proposals, but research support staff who attend will learn useful information, too.
Users will learn:
- How to access SciENcv
- How to create a new biosketch from a blank form or from a preexisting document or external data sources
- How to link My NCBI to other accounts (ORCiD, eRA Commons)
- Good practices for managing and naming SciENcv documents
- How to delegate others to access and edit your SciENcv documents
