Join exhibit curators Katie Lattal and Emma Florio for a tour of their exhibit, Galter in Bloom: 500 Years of Botanical Illustration, before it closes in early February. Step into a bibliographic garden of flowers, fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs and admire a selection of illustrations spanning centuries and printing techniques, all curated from the library’s collection of botanical books. Katie and Emma will offer insights into how and why botanical illustrations were printed, published, used, and collected, and will teach attendees to examine how visual imagery can be affected by color, size, technique, purpose, and more.
