Launched in 2016, Love Data Week began in the United States and rapidly expanded into a global event. It now brings together institutions, organizations, researchers, students, and data enthusiasts worldwide to celebrate and engage with data. The goal was to highlight the diverse world of data, encourage effective data management practices, and spark critical conversations about data's influence on our lives.
From February 10-14, 2025, the international community will celebrate Love Data Week, exploring critical questions about data ownership and origins. This year's theme is "Whose Data Is It, Anway?" which challenges us to examine where data comes from and who owns it before we use it in our work. Whether you're a first-time participant or a returning supporter, here are some helpful resources and ways you can participate:
