Data Librarian / Community Manager
Galter Health Sciences Library seeks an innovative, outgoing, and energetic professional to support the recently awarded CTSA Program Center for Data to Health Coordinating Center (CD2H). Working collaboratively with all 9 CD2H funded sites, as well as with the larger CTSA Program community (including researchers, IT teams, data professionals, students, libraries, and more), this full-time, non-tenured faculty librarian will lead and advance community building activities, facilitate a rich social coding environment to support project priorities and deliverables, and contribute to robust data- and informatics-oriented practices and projects. This position is a full-time, non-tenured faculty librarian and will participate in secondary assignments based on qualifications, interests, and need.
Research and Education Librarian
Galter Health Sciences Library & Learning Center (GHSLLC) at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a friendly and outgoing individual to join our research and information services team, to design, coordinate, and deliver quality programming and services to library users in support of Feinberg’s research and education goals. The position assignment includes planning and delivering group user instruction in a variety of curricular environments, providing point-of-need consultation and research question follow-up, and collaboration with key constituents on systematic reviews and research projects.
Research Data Analyst Associate
Galter Health Sciences Library & Learning Center and the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS) at Feinberg School of Medicine seek a Research Data Analyst Associate to complete key deliverables for the CTSA Program Center for Data to Health Coordinating Center (CD2H). The CD2H was established through a 5-year award from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) and will coalesce and coordinate informatics activities across the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Program, a network of more than 50 medical research institutions, to provide collaborative clinical and translational research infrastructure. This position utilizes multiple quantitative and qualitative datasets from a variety of sources and interprets results using various techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining; assists in the design, development, and implementation of business solutions partnering with clients to identify analytical requirements; and compiles reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methods.
Digital Innovations Specialist
Galter Health Sciences Library & Learning Center seeks an innovative and energetic individual to provide leadership for digital initiatives at Galter Library. The Digital Innovations Specialist works with a wide range of campus stakeholders to develop and implement programs that increase awareness about digital scholarship and issues in the digital environment among faculty, researchers, and students at Feinberg School of Medicine. This position works with library colleagues on preservation and access to scholarly outputs through a digital repository and other digital means and is expected to act as a contributor to greater campus-wide digital preservation activities. This position will collaborate on digital initiatives at Galter Library and be empowered to explore new areas of digital growth and opportunity for our campus. Galter Library is a forward-looking library in both principle and in practice and we are eager to welcome an entrepreneurial and experimental professional to our team.
